Memorial Day Workshop Images

Just returned home from finishing my last lecture at the Memorial Day Workshop Weekend with Corey Hilz, Bill Folsom and Mark Dilallo. I am exhausted and really looking forward to spending tomorrow with Amber and Phoenix doing absolutely nothing. Here is a collection of images I managed to squeeze out while doing field demonstrations for the group. Enjoy the holiday and be safe, Joe.

Tremendous work, Joe! I'm going to have to start poking around Great Falls again. We have our St. Michaels workshop then a three day seminar in Reading. Afterwhich, time to start shooting where I live(!) until we head to ME and Nova Scotia for a little R&R.

Have a nice day off (whatever that is).

Great shots as always. I especially like the shots of Difficult Run. I've always had a hard time getting shots I like from there.

I've been meaning to ask you about this... When the sun's rising at 5:45 and the park doesn't open til 7:00, are you able to get in to shoot sunrise?

Thanks for stopping in guys and leaving a comment.

Tony - Great Falls and Scotts Run are in really good shape after all the rain we have had this past spring. I am sure you will be able to come away with some great images. Good luck in St. Mike's.

Alex - The gates open between 5:30 and 6:00am on most mornings. A park service staff member will arrive and open up. Just pull up and wait. Have your gear ready to go and hit the trail right before first light. See ya this weekend, Joe

John - Thanks buddy. I got lucky and actually managed to come away with some nice images while leading the group.
